Pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Carlisle, Pennsylvania for nearly 40 years, the author is very well-known in reformed circles for excellent books, and this is a fine treatment of David in typically brief, clear style. Obviously not as rich and applied as larger, older works, or as useful to message preparers, but an extremely manageable study of David's life for most readers.
