A fine, warm, devotional commentary ideal for devotions but not to be underestimated as a guide for expositors. The author holds the Song to be an allegory of the relationship between Christ and His Church. Affirming that 'no other book is so full of Christ', he interprets it spiritually, with much application. Not content with the obvious, he identifies a distinctive instructive message in every portion treated. Very strongly recommended for all readers.
