After a gap of some years Gospel Standard Trust have issued another in the series of New Testament books for young children. The bright hardback cover and full-page colour illustrations by Ruth Goodridge have endeared the series to the young for many years now. Mr Ramsbottom's style of narrating the Bible story as if the child were sitting beside him has a certain charm, with questions and answers and frequent slipping into the present tense. Some might find this style a little dated and patronising but others will discover that the old-fashioned style still works its magic on the young hearer. The book of Acts is a difficult one to read to children. This summary of its highlights will commend it and the apostle to a new generation. [Please see our website for other titles in this series.]
