The author, doyen of creationist scientists, comments effectively on the scientific content of Genesis. However, he provides much more, with thoughtful explanations and reflections on every passage. We do not agree that Melchizedek was a theophany, or that the sons of God (of Genesis 6) were fallen angels. Yet this is the work of a deeply learned and devotional mind, and we know pastors who vote it their best Genesis overview.
