(In the NICOT series.) Issued in 1982 by a conservative scholar expert in the history and customs of the 6th and 5th century BC Persians. Although this is a scholarly commentary, it is a delightfully understandable one, clothing the events with much life and detail. There is no real application, but the superb explanations of word meanings and customs provide the reader with a view of things which greatly helps his own application of the text. Fine for preachers.
