Issued by Professor Lennox in 2011, this challenges a whole band of 'new atheists' the most militant so far such as Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins. The latent absurdity and baseless nature of so many of their well-publicised arguments are devastatingly exposed in these pages. Yet the work is so readable it qualifies for widespread dissemination to people whose belief potential has been injured by atheistic criticisms. While the author's older book God's Undertaker deals with the view that science has eliminated faith, this demolishes the leading contentions of famous new atheists. In this particular book the author's old earth views are barely noticeable. This is an exhibition of great reasoning clothed in disarming humility. It is a great education, and strongly recommended. It certainly has a strong part to play in what used to be called 'pre-evangelism'.
